If she even heard her come in, then Barbara gave no indication. Not that was unusual by any means. When Barbara was busy with something, be it hacking into a high security system or playing one of those stupid online games, the whole world could go to hell in a basket and she wouldn’t even know it – not unless there was a pop-up warning before hand, of course.
It wasn’t quite the welcome home Dinah had hoped for.
Slowly, and careful not to make a sound, Dinah crossed the room, coming to a stop mere centimetres from Barbara’s back.
The busy keyboard stilled, and time grinded to a halt….
