My big toe still hurts like a bitch, but it's not so bad as long as I don't put too much weight on it, so at the moment I'm kind of limping about like a demented servant from a gothic horror story. It could be worse I suppose, I could have the hump to go right along with it. Sliver linings and all that.
Slept a little bit better last night, I'm still exhausted though, and I lost the power of speech about three o' clock, which was pretty funny considering I was responding to a 'english as a foreign language' query at the time. I reckon it'll be another early one this evening - well, that's the intention anyway.
On a happier note, to make up for the shittyness of Sunday evening and yesterday, I hopped out at lunchtime and bought some comfort dvds for myself - Ulysses 31, the entire series for £8.99 and The Wizard of Oz for a fiver. I feel like such a geek, but I haven't seen them in years and I was just completely overcome with nostalgia when I saw them - it had to be done. Granted, I have barely any money to last me to the end of the month and I'll probably be taking my begging bowl round to my mothers', but it was worth it. Squee!
And on a completely unrelated note I just have to say how much I love the BBC's cracktastic revisionist history of Edward the first in their worst British Monarchs feature. It really made me go WTF!
