Take on Me by Aha - That's right, Aha.  I don't own a copy and I haven't heard the song in ages, but if I ever happen to catch it being played on the radio or on VH-1, I'm immediately swept straight back to the eighties and reminded of my early childhood.  It's not a great song by any means, but it does bring back some very happy memories for me, so it makes the list.

There She Goes My Beautiful World by Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - Perhaps my favourite track of the Abattoir Blues album.  I love the energy of this song, the lyrics, the backing vocals, everything.  It's such a departure from Nick's usual stuff too.

Taxman by the Beatles - One of the stand out tracks on Revolver, which I sometimes think is better than S.P. *ducks*

Tainted Love by Gloria Jones - Just one listen to this version of the song and you'll forever despise Soft Cell for butchering a classic.

Time is on my side by the Rolling Stones - A timeless classic.  Enough said.

OHNOES TAAAAAAAAKE ON MEEEEEEEEEEE!

Have you seen this? I first watched it in an empty office area with a friend around 2am, and nearly busted a vessel laughing. *sings* BAND MONTAGE!

Ooh, and thanks for the posting about the original version of Tainted Love. You're right, it's far superior. And it's probably me but oomph, that Nick Cave song would be perfect for a noir movie soundtrack.

A letter, please :D

I'm glad I wasn't drinking anything when I clicked that link, lol.

I don't know why Soft Cell weren't flogged for their version. It's awful.

And yup, it'd work perfectly for a noir film.

You have the letter F.
