Happy New Year everybody! Hope you all had a great time and aren't suffering too badly today.
I had the quietest New Year ever. I ended up opting out of both party offers that were on the table and went straight home after work. Yeah, boring I know, but between the rubbish day I had at the shop and this virus still hanging around me like a bad smell, I simply couldn't handle the idea of dealing with excessively drunk people in a excessively loud room.
I just didn't have the energy for it and I wasn't the only one who felt this way - from work - at any rate. Heh. Indifference loves company I suppose.
So I spent Hogmanay in front of the tv having a How I Met Your Mother marathon. Prior to ordering it from Lovefilm.com I'd never seen an episode before, despite all the good things I'd heard about it from other people. It was just something I never got around to watching before and I'm sorry I hadn't until last night. It might not quite be up there with Frasier, or maybe even the first few seasons of Friends, but it's still a pretty bloody funny show. NPH is pure comedy gold and it's always nice to see someone from Buffy in other lines of work. Anyway, I'm definitely signing up for the second series I just hope that the standard doesn't slip.
